PRISM

Taking a simple sketch of the human form as his inspiration, Joseph Walsh has developed this sophisticated geometric structure.  Repetition of the form illustrates what is possible structurally in this design as the resulting piece has much greater strength than the strength of individual forms.  This is because weight is displaced across, and compressing, a multiple of joints and segments. Overall the proportion, shape, form, and negative space (created within) of “Prism” combine to create an intriguing aesthetic and significant structural strength belied by the refined individual components.
