ILANA GOOR

Born in Tiberias, Israel, Ilana Goor shares her life between New York City and Tel Aviv, where she has transformed her home into a museum, and where she crafts her furniture and jewelry. Her work spans disciplinarians, ranging from installations, sculpture, jewelry, and furniture. A recipient of the Roscoe Award, Goor's work was shown worldwide in such museums as the Los Angeles State Museum, The Holocaust Museum Yad Vashem, Larry Aldrich Museum, Ridgefield CT, the Israel Museum Jerusalem, National Museum of American Jewish History, Philadelphia, and Tel Aviv Museum of Art which hosted a retrospective of Goor's work in 2006. She participated in shows in such galleries as the Daniel Blaise Thorens Gallery, Basel Switzerland, Kunst Gallery, All Vlaardingen Netherlands, Horace Richter Gallery, Old Jaffa Israel, Hammer Gallery New York; her outdoor sculptures can be found in Israel's sites of the Yad Vashem Memorial Museum Jerusalem, Holon, and Tiberias.
